I started painting around 5 years ago and found I had a passion for watercolors. During those 5 years I have taken many classes in different types of art mediums, but always seem drawn back to watercolors. The way the colors blend is magical.
Painting is an escape for me. It can be challenging, but incredibly exhilarating.
Being able to create something of beauty with a good watercolor painting, will bring us more than what we can see.
I use many different mediums, such as watercolor, acrylics and resin. I believe working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. However, I find myself going back to watercolor more than any other form of medium.
My greatest inspiration is my sister-in-law, Charlene Collins Freeman. She is an amazing artist, owns and teaches at her own school, Cloud 9 Art School, in Bothell, Washington.
I enjoy art, especially watercolor, camping in our motorhome, traveling with my husband to different countries and being with family and friends. Many of my pieces are directly influenced by my travels to different places around the world.
